The purpose of NW Mustangs and Classic Fords car club is to encourage and promote the enjoyment, preservation, restoration, and maintenance of Ford automobiles for educational, recreational, and historic interest. It is intended to provide family oriented events, tours, rallies, shows and social gatherings for its members. The goal is to encourage members to share their expertise and experience on working with automobiles. This organization was created for the enjoyment and betterment of the Mustang, Ford vehicles, its members and the community in which it functions.

Here we are with a whole new decade upon us! 2010! It has a clean, crisp, new beginnings sound to it, doesn't it? Sounds like a great time to begin something new and exciting, to venture into the new decade with new friends and new experiences. Sounds like the perfect time for the NW Mustangs and Classic Fords Car Club to kick off and get started!
In reading through this inaugural issue of The Blue Oval Monthly, you will see the types of events in which we would like to participate for the upcoming year. Articles in this issue highlight some of the events the founding members of the club participated in last year and felt they would be a good fit for the NW Mustangs and Classic Fords Car Club.
The focus of The Club will be to have fun with others while enjoying our Fords. We plan on organizing some type of fun event once a month for people to come and participate in, and then put our enthusiasm behind one main show each year, because all work and no play is no fun for anyone!
We have adopted the Start, Stomp and Go car show as our flagship show, and have moved it from September to August in 2010. There was a great response to this show last year, and given it was in the rain, we can only imagine what it would be like on a really nice weather day! It will once again be held at Camas High School. The front parking area of the school lends itself nicely to a car show layout.
If we sound like fun to you, then we would love to have you and your family join us.
Club meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month at Vancouver Ford. The meeting room is upstairs over the main showroom. Doors will open at 6 pm with meetings starting promptly at 6:30 and ending approximately at 7:45.
NW Mustangs and Classic Fords welcome families and responsible youth drivers, and it is not necessary to own a Mustang or Classic Ford, but to have an appreciation for them is good for us!
